

Annette B. (Forand) Blais, 100, of Acushnet passed away, Saturday, September 25, 2021 in the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home, one month prior to her 101st birthday. She was the wife of the late Arthur L. Blais.
Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Arthur and Matilda ( DeGrande) Forand. She was a lifelong resident of the Acushnet. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School, class 1938. She was a devout wife and mother, who loved her family dearly. She enjoyed Scrabble, gardening and walks in the woods. Annette was former member of the Ladies of St. Anne at St. Francis and enjoyed traveling with the senior group.
Annette is survived by her children, Arthur W. Blais and his wife Lorraine of East Freetown, Evelyn Barrett and her husband Edward of Lakeville, Joseph Blais and his companion Joan Rebello of Dartmouth, Joan Blais of Westport and Daniel Blais and his wife Cindy of Fairhaven; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of late Ernest and David Blais and sister of the late Irene, Arthur, Ernest, Oscar, Edward, Raymond, Rene and Father Robert Forand.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 9:00AM in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Francis Xavier Church, 125 Main Street, Acushnet.
