Born in New Bedford, son of the late Antonio Cambra, Sr. and Eugenia (Alves) Cambra, he had resided in Acushnet for the past 44 years.
Mr. Cambra was a United States Navy Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.
He was employed as a machinist at Morse Twist Drill for 25 years.
Antonio was a proud member of the N.R.A and the Tin Can Sailors. A man of many talents and trades, Tony was a talented carpenter and could build almost anything. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, fishing and hunting. He had a love for his dogs throughout the years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Judith Dupont and her husband Donald, Antonio Cambra, III and Steven Cambra and his wife Jacquelyn; his sisters, Esther Hagen of Concord, NH, Alice Soja of Acushnet and Theresa Pereira of Mattapoisett; his grandchildren, Heather Sarkes, Alexis and Paige Cambra; his great-grandson, Daniel Sarkes; and several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 9:00 am in Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 121 Pleasant St., New Bedford.
