Arlene C. De Paco

Arlene was the daughter of the late John and Alice (Ventura) Rego. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School.

For many years, Arlene worked in the office at Frionor Seafood Manufacturing, serving with steady dedication until her retirement.

Arlene was predeceased by her husband, Alvaro L. De Paco, Jr., who passed in 2020. She is survived by her nephew, Keith De Paco and his wife Jennifer, and their daughters, Madison and Morgan; her nephew, Dean De Paco and his wife Shelly, and their daughters, Amelie and Delaney; her brother-in-law, Stephen De Paco and his wife Janice; and several cousins.

In quieter moments, Arlene found comfort and joy in simple, enduring pleasures—knitting, baking desserts, and settling in to watch Turner movie classic TV. She also had a fondness for Volkswagen bug cars, and she valued the companionship of longtime friends, Robert and Marcia Murphy, with whom she especially enjoyed time well spent.

Visitation will be held at St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 343 Tarkiln Hill Rd, New Bedford, MA 02745, on May 13, 2026, from 9:15 am to 9:45 am. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 am at St. Gabriel the Archangel Church. Burial will take place on May 13, 2026, at Pine Grove Cemetery, 1100 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, MA 02745.
