Arthur L. Perryman

Arthur was born in 1941 in Acushnet, Massachusetts to Clarence and Leona Perryman. He served in the Navy from 1960-1964 and received his Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from SMU in 1986. He retired from Mellon Bank in 2005. Arthur was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima's in New Bedford. He was active with the Greater New Bedford Choral Society, New Bedford Symphony Chorus, was a former Scout Master for Troop 51 in Acushnet, and in his youth played for the New Bedford Drum and Bugle Corps.

Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Patricia (Fox) Perryman, his son Dr. Steven Perryman and wife Dr. Roselyn Jeun of Hopkinton, his daughter Christine Place and husband Todd Place of Acushnet, his son Marc Perryman and wife Megan Perryman of New Hampshire. Arthur's grandchildren include Russell and Calvin Perryman, and Caitlyn and Christopher Foster. Arthur also leaves behind his sister, Claire Decker of Ellington, CT, and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.

Viewing will be held at Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA 02745 on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 5-7pm with a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish at 10 am. BURIAL WILL BE PRIVATE.
