Aurore M. Bernier

Aurore was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Flavien and Rosilda (Beaulieu) Cournoyer and was a lifelong resident of the city. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph-St. Therese Church. She enjoyed playing bingo and listening to music and was a former soloist at Holy Rosary.

She leaves a daughter Rachel Jolivet of Newport News, VA, a sister Yvonne Sylvia of Tewksbury, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Diane Randolph and sister of the late Arthur, Alfred, Albert and Raymond Cournoyer, Claire Moquin Arsenault, Annette Gehue and Irene Shank.

Her Funeral will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 8:30 am from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford with a Funeral Mass at 9:30 am in St. Joseph-St. Therese Church, Acushnet Ave., New Bedford and burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
