Barbara Ann Silva, age 79, of New Bedford passed away March 19 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late James Watson Stott and Veronica (Myndrala) Stott.

She was a graduate of New Bedford High School and worked as bank manager and a loan manager of an auto dealership.

Barbara lived in Pasadena, California before moving back to the South Coast area. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include a brother, Andrew Stott of New Bedford and his companion Cynthia Kroudvird, a sister in law, Jane Stott of New Bedford, three nephews: Jeffrey Stott of Newburyport, Timothy Stott of Dartmouth, Michael Stott of Florida and several great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late James Stott.

Her visitation will be held Friday, March 23 from 9-10am at the ROCK Funeral Home 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, immediately followed by a funeral service at the funeral home at 10am. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
