Beverly A. Cruz

Born in Acushnet, a daughter of the late Antone and Claira (Costa) Souza, she had been a lifelong area resident.

In addition to being a homemaker, she enjoyed visiting coffee shops, playing bingo, and playing the lottery especially scratch tickets.

She is survived by two daughters; Donna Amaral and her husband Steven, Debra Cruz, two sons; Anthony Cruz and his wife Silvinia and Antone Cruz III all of New Bedford, nine grandchildren; Anthony Cruz Jr., Derek Amaral, Brittany Nicole Cruz, Miranda Vieira, Joshua Cruz, Christen Vieira, Myles Vieira, Makayla Cruz, and Aidan Amaral, one niece; Hailey Souza, and her best friend of many years Mary Maciel. She was sister of the late Antone Souza.

Her Funeral will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 11:00AM in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Monday from 5:00 to 8:00PM. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Bedford.
