Brenda Ann Leal

Born in Acushnet, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Cruz) Vaudry.

Brenda was a machine operator for Titleist for more than 20 years. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed collecting DVD’s of her favorite movies, Sunflowers, shopping, playing Rummy on Friday nights and loved music, especially James Ingrim and Luther Vandross. She always carried her purse which contained all of her favorite treats. She was the rock of her family and will be deeply missed by many.

Brenda is survived by her loving children, Tina Martin and her fiancé Kerry Harris Sr., of New Bedford, Tara Resendes of New Bedford and Vasco Resendes Jr., and his fiancé Stephanie Richotte of Acushnet; her grandchildren Demetrie Martin, Dominic Martin, Vasco Resendes III, Nevaeh Resendes, Kylee Resendes, Riley Demedeiros; her siblings, Donald Vaudry of Germany, Jane Vaudry of New Bedford, and Joan Woodis of Acushnet and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late George Vaudry, Joe Vaudry and Irene Lopes.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 9:00am from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, 136 Earle St., New Bedford. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Her visitation will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 5:00 – 8:00pm in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA 02745.
