Cheryle S. Normandin-Nasser

Born on October 8, 1948, Cheryle attended New Bedford Schools, graduating from NBHS with highest honors in 1966. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from both Westfield and Bridgewater State with degrees in teaching and counseling. She taught at the Gidley School from 1970 – 2005, earning the Dartmouth Teacher Award and the student-nominated FUN107 Award. She loved teaching and took great pride in helping her students succeed.

Cheryle leaves behind her beloved son, Kyle Nasser, who was her greatest source of joy, pride, and love. She supported him in every endeavor and unabashedly delighted in his many accomplishments. She also leaves her lovely daughter-in-law, Parisa, and their son Zayn who was born in June.

She leaves her beloved sisters, Janice Servais and her husband Rene and Debra Ericksberg, who provided much love, help, and support during her illness, and four nieces, Jaime King, Jennie McCormick, Julia Nasser, and Laura Nasser.

Cheryle had many devoted friends whom she cherished, always stressing the importance of friendship for the love and support it provides.

Cheryle enjoyed Horseneck Beach, traveling, cruising, reading, and getting together with friends.

Per her request, arrangements will be private. She wants to be remembered as you last saw her, most likely with a big smile on her face. Remember her in your own special way. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Hope Lodge, 125 S. Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130 or to the Ovarian Cancer Society. Both provide invaluable services to women dealing with this dreaded disease.
