Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha (Pelletier) Beaupre she was a lifelong city resident.
Mrs. Wood worked as a presser for New England Overall. She also worked at Adams Restaurant and Alice Restaurant.
Claire was a member of the Association for the Blind and she enjoyed knitting and going to Capeway Day Care.
She is survived by a son, George P. Moore of New Bedford; a sister, Irene Martin of New Bedford; a brother, Joseph A. Beaupre of FL; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Moore and Ernest DeMoranville. She was the sister of the late Ronald, Glorio, Normand, and Leo Beaupre and grandmother of the late Randy Moore.
