Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Daniel A. Ferreira and Pauline (Snell) Mello of New Bedford he was a lifelong area resident.
Daniel worked as a floor tiler.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Allen Ferreira of New Bedford; a sister, Kathy Pacheco and her husband Steven of Acushnet; his siblings Victoria and Timothy Ferreira both of New Bedford; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
His visitation will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 1-4 pm in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Burial will be private. www.rock-funeralhome.com for online tribute/directions.
