Dennis Paul Bouchard, age 68, passed away, Saturday, April 6, 2019 at St Luke’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Wanda (Mingola) Bouchard with whom he shared 43 years of marriage. He was the father of the late Denny Bouchard and the father of Jaime Varao of CT. He was the son of the late Gerald Bouchard and the late Beatrice (Simmons) Bouchard.
Dennis was a 1970 graduate of New Bedford High School. He worked as a film technician and in security at the former Polaroid in New Bedford for 29 years until his retirement. He served on the Board of the Greater New Bedford Center for the Handicapped. He loved watching Fox News and attending family gatherings.
Survivors in addition to his wife and son are five siblings; Robert Bouchard and his wife Gisela of Westport, Elaine Smith and her husband Kenneth of FL, Lucie Arndt and her husband Robert of TX, Steven Bouchard of New Bedford, special godchildren Sara O’Toole, Jacob Mingola and Kelly Underwood, a mother in law, Lillian Mingola and a large extended family, two grandsons and several nieces and nephews. He was the twin brother of the late David Bouchard.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 9 from 5-7pm and Wednesday, April 10 from 9:30-11am with funeral service immediately following at the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, MA 02745. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery in New Bedford.
