Diana C. Caron

Born in New Bedford, she was daughter of the late Anselme and Clara (Renauld) Maillet. She was a long-time communicant of St. Joseph-St. Therese parish in New Bedford.

In her younger years, Diana enjoyed roller skating and being on the drill team. She worked at many local companies, retiring from Gilt Edge Textile as a cloth inspector. She and her husband enjoyed spending weekends at their cottage in Wareham during the summer. She was an active member of the Don Hoo Travel Club and loved knitting, painting ceramics, and making puzzles. She cherished spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving children, Jeannette St. Amand and her husband Robert of E. Freetown, and Louis C. Caron Jr. and his companion Carlene Brennan of W. Wareham; four grandchildren, Jennifer Haley, Jessica Jack, Kris St. Amand, and Melissa St. Amand; four great grandchildren, Kendal Haley, Jasmine Jack, Jacob Jack, and Nolan McGill; her niece and godchild, Susan Bettencourt, with whom she was especially close, and many other godchildren, nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021 starting at 9:00AM from ROCK FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Joseph-St. Therese Church, Acushnet Ave, New Bedford. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Her visitation will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 2:00-5:00PM at ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd. New Bedford, MA 02745.
