Dolores Berube Bedard

Born in New Bedford, Dolores lived most of her life in Fairhaven and was the daughter of the late Albert and Helen (Schott) Berube.

Mrs. Bedard was a graduate of Holy Family High School class of 1949. She worked as a stitcher in the local garment industry until her retirement in 1988. She enjoyed playing cards, completing crossword puzzles, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include 3 sons; Alan Bedard and his wife Louise of Fairhaven, Gary Bedard of New Bedford, Brian Bedard and his wife Deborah of Hartsville, South Carolina, one daughter; Cheryl Surprenant and her husband Troy of Fairhaven, one brother; Milton Berube and his wife Mary Ann of Williamsburg, VA, 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Friday, December 16, 2011 at 10 am at St. Joseph Church, 74 Spring Street, Fairhaven, MA. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours, Thursday, December 15, 2011 from 5-8 pm at the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, MA. Burial at Riverside Cemetery.
