It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald J Guenette, a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and dedicated public servant, who departed this life peacefully at the age of 74 on March 26th.
Donald was the beloved husband of Elaine (Cesolini) Guenette for 51 wonderful years, a bond built on love, deep faith, and shared joy. Together, they built a beautiful life centered on family, faith, and service.
Donald was a proud father of four children: the late Donald (Donny) Guenette Jr., Chris Guenette, who blessed him with two grandchildren (Thomas and Andrew); Justin Guenette (wife Stephanie), who gave him five beloved grandchildren (Ashley, Taylor, Lindsey, Ryan, and Molly); and Cory Guenette (wife Monica), who added two precious grandchildren (Mason and Jace) into his life. His family was the pride and joy of his heart, and he cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren, offering them his wisdom, faith, support, humor, and unconditional love.
A man of immense dedication and work ethic, Donald served as a police officer/detective with the Town of Acushnet for over 30 years, protecting and serving his community with honor and integrity. Simultaneously, he worked as a Distribution Manager at Titleist for 30 years, where he was known for his leadership and strong work ethic.
Above all, Donald was a man of deep faith. A devout Catholic, he lived his life guided by his spiritual beliefs, attending Mass regularly and instilling his values in his family. In his free time, he enjoyed watching, coaching, and talking about sports, spending time with his children/grandchildren, and sharing quiet, joyful moments with his beloved wife.
Donald Guenette’s legacy will live on as one of strength, compassion, and love. His impact on his family, friends, and community will remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
