Donald G. Munroe

Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Joseph R. and Annie (Sylvia) Munroe he was a lifelong area resident.

Donald graduated from New Bedford High School and went on to study at South Massachusetts Technical Institute. He was also in the Naval Reserves.

Donald worked for and retired from Acushnet Company. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing, taking care of his dogs and cats, playing games and most of all spending time with his family.

He was the brother of the late Norman Munroe, the brother-in-law of the late Marion Munroe and the uncle of the late Raymond Munroe and his wife Madeleine Munroe of New Bedford. He is survived by one nephew, Gary Munroe and his wife Cynthia of Swansea; three nieces, Nancy Landreville and her husband Norman of E. Freetown, Debra Isidorio and her husband Robert of E. Freetown, and Sharon Martowska and her husband Wayne of Mansfield; two step daughters, Susan Dean and her husband Frank of Aromas, CA and Nancy Kalashian and her husband Michael of Aptos, CA; and several great nieces and nephews.

His memorial visitation will be Monday, July 20, 2020 11:30 a.m. to 12 noon in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA 02745.
