Donna L. (Piekielniak) Magilton, 71, of Fairhaven passed away Friday, May 15, 2026 in St. Luke’s Hospital after a period of declining health. She was the cherished wife of John H. Magilton and was proceeded in death by her first husband Francis Affonce.
Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Veronica (Silva) Piekielniak she was a lifelong area resident.
Donna was well known for her work as a secretary at St. Luke’s Hospital where she had worked for 49 years. She was a people person, always looking out and caring for others. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and going to the beach – especially Cape Coral, Florida.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Thomas Affonce of Fairhaven; her twin sister, Linda Palmeiri of New Bedford; and her best friend, Audrey Sylvia of Cape Coral, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
