Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Leo H. Caron, Sr. and Dora I. (Langlois) Caron, she had resided in New Bedford, MA for many years before moving to Manchester, NH 35 years ago.
She was a graduate of St. Anthony School in New Bedford and attended U-Mass Dartmouth, and the University of New Hampshire.
She had worked as an Assistant Director in the field of mental health for several years. When she came to Manchester, she worked at Velcro USA for a brief time until she became disabled in 1990.
Doris enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, creating dried floral arrangements.
She is survived by her sister, Pauline E. Caron of Manchester; a niece, Paula Caron-Lecuyer and husband Michael of Freetown; a great-niece, Brittany Caron of Lakeville; and many cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Leo H. Caron, Jr. and a nephew, Peter Caron.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 8:30-9:30 am in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 am in St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish, 343 Tarkiln Hill Rd., New Bedford. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
