Dorothy R. Gonsalves

Born in New Bedford, she was a daughter of the late Herve and Angeline (Levesque) LeBert and had been a lifelong resident of this city.

Dorothy worked for several years as a visual inspector for Isotronics for several years and dedicated her life to caring for her family. She enjoyed animals and spending time in her garden.

She is survived by her children: Christine J. Berche and her spouse Margaret Marlowe of New Bedford, Joanne M. Berche of New Bedford, Patricia E. Berche of New Bedford, Karen G. Berche of New Bedford, and Roger E. Berche and his wife Lisa of Haslet, TX; her sister, Jeanne Oliveira of Dartmouth; eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Robert D. Berche and John J. Berche and sister of the late Annette Camacho, Gloria Sousa, Herve LeBert, Richard LeBert and Linda Brock.

Her visitation will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Boulevard, New Bedford, MA. Relatives and friends are invited. A prayer service will be held at 5:15 PM. Burial will be private.
