Earl was the beloved companion of Carol Morris, with whom he shared 35 beautiful years together. He was the devoted son of the late Antone M. Almeida and Rose (Soares) Almeida.
A graduate of Dorchester High School, Earl proudly served the City of Boston as a firefighter with the Boston Fire Department for 32 years. His dedication to his job meant everything to him, and he carried that same commitment and pride into every part of his life.
Earl was a simple man—proud, humble, laid back, and always ready with a joke. He lived an active life and loved anything outdoors, especially boating, camping, traveling, and spending time at the beach. Above all, Earl cherished time spent with his family, grandchildren, and friends.
In addition to his longtime companion, Carol Morris of West Wareham, Earl is survived by his loving children: Indigo Crawford-Patnett and her husband Bernard of Holbrook, Earl Almeida Jr. of Milton, Charlene V. Almeida of Cambridge; his step children, Rick Irizarry of New Bedford, Nathan Irizarry of New Bedford, and Kerri Irizarry of Dartmouth. He was a proud grandfather to Chyna, Parris, Alijah, Aryana, Jewlz, Anarri, Mariano, Tristan, Nylah, Daphne, and Earl III.
He is also survived by his brothers, Antone M. Almeida Jr. of Boston and David Almeida and his wife Ida of New Bedford; his sister, Delores Almeida of Hanover; and many loving nieces and nephews. Earl was the brother of the late Manuel A. Almeida.
