Edgar M. De Mello

Edgar M. De Mello, 76, of E. Freetown, Massachusetts, passed away at home on September 18, 2026. Born on November 28, 1949, in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, he came to the United States at the age of three. He was the beloved son of the late Eugene and Maria Gloria Mello.

Edgar built his life around showing up for others and working hard for what mattered most. Above all else, Edgar’s family was his greatest pride and joy. He was a man of tremendous generosity and would do anything for his family. He was married to the late Carol Ann (Schell) De Mello.
