

Born in Acushnet, the son of the late Emile and Emma (Rioux) Morin, he had resided in Acushnet and Rochester for many years before settling in New Bedford.
Mr. Morin was a United States Army Veteran having served during World War II. He was the proud recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, Bronze Star Medal and the Soldier’s Medal.
He was employed as a truck driver for the Tremont Nail Company in Wareham for 28 years.
Survivors include his sons, Edmond E. Morin, Jr. and his wife Fran of New Bedford and Arthur J. “Joe” Morin and his wife Janet of E. Freetown; a daughter-in-law, Marcia Morin of Swansea; grandchildren, Kerri Morin Pessoa, Tracey Biggers, Melissa Callahan, Roy, Kristy, Keith, Matt, Daniel and Elizabeth Morin; great-grandchildren, Justlee and Javier Pessoa, Michael and Nicholas Callahan, Noella Rose and Lucas Morin; several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Roger R. Morin.
His funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 9am in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Acushnet Ave., New Bedford. Visiting hours Monday 5-7PM in the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Burial with military honors will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
