Born in Acushnet, a daughter of the late Aiden and Annie (Sylvia) Ryan, she was a lifelong area resident.
Ellen worked in home health care and as a kitchen worker at Sacred Heart Nursing Home. She had a tremendous love of cats and she was a skilled painter. She would often paint on slates or other materials for hours and hours.
She is survived by her children, Dennis Morris of Acushnet, Suzanne Fernandes of New Bedford, and Jeffrey Morris of ND; 5 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; siblings, Carol Stubbs of New Bedford and Aiden Ryan, Jr. of Fairhaven. She was the grandmother of the late Christopher Fernandes; great grandmother of the late Dayvien Fernandes; and sister of the late Peter Ryan and Robert Sylvia.
