Born in Portland, Maine, she was the daughter of the late James and Gertrude (Woodbury) Lowell. She graduated from Saint Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing in New Bedford in 1961, and had a long career as a Registered Nurse at Saint Luke’s Hospital, in which she retired from. Flora was a Mattapoisett resident prior to moving to New Bedford 16 years ago, and was an active member of the East Freetown Congregational Christian Church.
Flora will be laid to rest with her husband and parents in Portland, Maine.
A service will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 11:00AM, followed by a luncheon in the East Freetown Congregational Christian Church, 4 Washburn Rd., East Freetown, MA 02717 for family and friends to attend.
