

A lifelong New Bedford resident, Florence was the daughter of the late Joseph and Matilda (Dow) Attallah. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School Class of 1943.
Mrs. Morad loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her puppies. She influenced her family with her values of love and compassion. She could often be found in the kitchen preparing traditional Lebanese dishes for her family and all of their friends. She enjoyed reading, the theater, was an avid Red Sox fan and took pleasure in scratching her lottery tickets. She was a participant in Our Lady of Purgatory’s 30/30 Club where she once served as President. She was a member of the Lebanese Veteran’s Woman’s Auxiliary and St. Joseph’s Sodality.
Survivors include her 4 children, Linda M. Morad of New Bedford; George R. Morad Jr., Esq. and his wife Susan of Lakeville; Robert J.S. Morad and Patricia Sterling of Assonet; Mark Morad of Acushnet; 2 grandchildren Victoria Rej Morad of New Bedford; Zachary Rej Morad of New York and their mother Sandra Rej Zak; 2 great grandchildren Layla Rej Johnson and Rory Rej Johnson, 3 sisters Nazara Drouin; Yvonne Sylvia; Jeannette Humenuk; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Alfred Attallah and Emily Cesolini.
Her Funeral will be held Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 9am at Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, followed by a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10am at Our Lady of Purgatory Church, 11 Franklin Street, New Bedford. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 4-8pm.
