

Florence J. “Flo” Patistea, 82, of Dartmouth, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River following a period of declining health. She was the wife of David Patistea with whom she shared 41 years of marriage.
Born in Middleboro, the daughter of the late George and Annie (Horn) Pittsley, she was raised in Middleboro, lived in New Bedford for many years before moving to Dartmouth in 2005.
Mrs. Patistea had worked as a safety sitter at St. Luke’s Hospital.
Flo was a talented artist who enjoyed arts and crafts of all kinds. She loved shopping and was quite the fashionista always keeping up with the latest styles. She always looked beautiful following her weekly visit to the beauty salon. Flo enjoyed trips to the casinos, Wheel of Fortune and day trips to her favorite out of town spots. Listening to rainfall, watching wildlife and nature were some of her favorite things. Flo appreciated a good lobster dinner. She was a woman of faith, caring and compassionate, who loved spending time with her family whom she adored.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Cheryl Gray, Robert Jefferson, Jr., Joanne Johnson, Patricia Soares and husband Anthony, Michael Jefferson and Lisa Phaneuf and husband Kennith, Sr.; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Carl, George, Marion, Barbara and Annabelle and her daughter-in-law, Jennifer Jefferson.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, January 15, 2024 from 4-7pm in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 10am in the funeral home followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.
