Dearest George...I'm finally getting to this. You've known me from my mom June's womb...made picnics for us as children in Uncle Richard's mom's yard...and then we circled back to one another as adults...Richard, myself and you, growing a love-fest together...and I know why. You and I share the same 'follow the love' blood. We learned to love ourselves and bring that love to the best of our ability to our nuclear families, and all we meet. I'm still being what I am George, love. The next generation of my children is here now...Lana Elise. In spirit together, I'll continue to follow love with you in my heart, and continue to share what I have been given so unselfishly by Uncle and you. We are family in every sense of the word, and as my tears fall, mixed of joy and tenderness, I am grateful to have come back full circle to you and Uncle, and for the privilege of sharing time together. I miss our roundtable talks already. Thank you for loving me as I love you. Your smile lives forever...Dawna

Heaven must be rejoicing in receiving such an amazing individual, our George.
In January I hugged and kissed George and wished him well on his scheduled surgery, little did I realize that would be our last hug...George was simply my amazing hairdresser and very special friend...
He would always have the infectious smile that would make you feel so special..We would share stories
about his adventures on Thursdays with his amazing niece and nephew, whether it was going shopping or going to the beach. He truly treasured each and everyone of his family members.
To Richard and all his family and friends...May your hearts be at peace, he will forever be smiling upon you and sending his love forever..with deepest condolences, friend always Ginger

ps....hold tightly to all those memories created............

We've been friends since kindergarten the tears flow but in the end I see your smile and it brightens my dark skies. To your family I extend my deepest sympathies. George was an extraordinary human being. Those of us who who were lucky enough to have him touch our lives were forever changed and I thank God and George for it. I am confident that you are wearing that infamous smile as I write this. It will be so very easy remembering you daily even if but for a moment. You really were a genuine person NEVER judging anyone. Even though i moved away from MA , it took just one phone call and there you were to my (hair) rescue!! May you REST IN PEACE and be among the first to rise upon the second coming. To your companion Richard, I can only guess as to the enormity of this loss for you, may God support you and comfort you always. Loving George was easy and my tears are not for him they are for me because I don't know how anyone's life will ever be the same without George in it. May God bless us all. Sleep easy my friend you deserve it.

George you were always a beautiful soul. There was never I time I seen you that you weren't smiling. You were always full of life. I am going to always remember that about you. What you and Richard had is only something others can dream of and you two made it look effortlessly. Rest easy my friend until me meet again.

George was one in a trillion. His smile and laugh will live in my mind and heart always. He was not just a hair dresser for Mom and I, he was a true friend. I will think of you each time I knit a pair of socks or mittens. Your legacy of love and caring will live on through your extended family. Rest in Peace my Friend. Thank you for being a part of our lives.

Uncle George will be greatly missed by SO many, definitely by me. He has been my friend for 30+years and I can never think of a time or place that he wasn't with his infectious smile! If anyone was sad/mad it was impossible to continue in negative space when next to George! His LOVE and LIGHT radiated from him at the very sight of him! He will always be remembered by me as that, a special person that touched the hearts of so many in a most positive and profound way. The TRUEST meaning of "A smile can change the world or the whole day!" THAT was George Gomes... He did that!!
There should be day named after you!
I Love you Uncle George You will not be forgotten! RIP Forever
