George A. Maudsley, Jr.

Born in Acushnet, the son of the late George Albert Maudsley and Rose (Macabello) Maudsley, he lived in Bridgewater for 20 years before moving to Acushnet.

George was a graduate of New Bedford Vocational High School and worked as a truck driver for Super Line Trucking and Highway Interstate until his retirement. He is a veteran having served in the United States Army.

Survivors include his 3 children, Michael Maudsley and his wife Kathleen of Erlanger, KY; Christopher Maudsley, Heather DeFigueiredo and her husband Frank of Dartmouth; a sister Shirleen Maudsley Harrison and her husband William of Niskayuna, NY; 3 grandchildren and a niece.

His funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 5pm at Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford. Visiting Hours will be held immediately following the service from 5:30-8pm. Burial will be private. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society,30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
