George M. Oliveira

George M. Oliveira, 32, of Millinocket, Maine, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 6, 2018.
Born in Brockton, a son of Nuno Oliveira and Mary (Kennedy) Taylor, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life before moving to Maine. He was a graduate of New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School, class of 2004 and attended U-Mass Dartmouth.
George loved his family dearly; he was a commercial fisherman for over 10 years and maintained an organic herb farm. He enjoyed teaching, learning and making people laugh. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed hiking, animals, and scuba diving.
In addition to his parents, he survived by a brother, Paul Oliveira of New Bedford; a sister, Katrina Simmons and her husband Colton of Fairhaven; maternal grandmother, Edna Kennedy of Stoughton; paternal grandparents, Manuel and Liduina Oliveira of Stoughton; step-father, James E. Taylor and step-mother Linda Oliveira and many step-siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was the grandson of the late Paul Kennedy.

My prayers go out to Georges family. I met him just 2years. but in that short time i enjoyed every conversation. He was kind,funny,joyful,,made you feel special,never judjed people.told interest ing funny stories and had rugged good looks. I was a little envious. Lol. I will miss my dear friend

To Paul,Mary, and Katrina my heart breaks for all you guys. I havent seen george in a while but i remember growing up with him and Paul he was a funny outgoing kid always had a big smile on his face. Its sad to hear of his passing. I prey for all of you to get through this horroble tradgety.Hes with god now and he will be watching over all of you. God bless rest in peace my friend
