

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late George and Marie (Boileau) Dubois, she lived most of her life in Freetown.
Mrs. Smith worked for many years as a travel agent at Paragon Travel in New Bedford and enjoyed traveling a lot as well. In fact, she spent her winters in Florida for several years. She enjoyed walking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her five children, Robert D. Smith of Dartmouth, Steven Smith and his wife Debra of East Freetown, Sandra Furze of Middleboro, Michele Darling and her husband Brian of Grafton, NH and Cynthia Hawksworth and her husband Paul of Naples, FL. She was mother-in-law of the late Kathleen Smith and John Furze.
In addition to her children, she is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Erika Vincent, Kimberly Durand, Jessica Faulkner, Rachael LeBlanc and Brian, James, Brendan, Patrick, Justin, Derek, Jennifer, Laura and Molly Smith and 9 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Smith is also survived by 9 brothers and sisters, Theresa Ghilardi, Sue Imel and Paul DuBois all of Freetown, Yvette Toyfair, Robert, Richard and Donald Dubois all of New Bedford, Jeannine Penler of Fort Lauderdale and Roger Dubois of Bristol, RI. She was sister of the late Georgette Newburg.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 10am in St. John Neumann Church, 157 Middleboro Rd., East Freetown followed by burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-7pm in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
