Born in Dartmouth, a son of the late John and Mary (Peters) Simon, he was a long time area resident. Henry served in the United States Army Medical Corp, during the Korean Conflict. After serving in the military he was employed at the Beetle Boat Company and then was employed at the Acushnet Company for 35 years as a Manager of Technical Services retiring in 1990.
Henry was the ultimate handyman, he enjoyed trips with his beloved Edith to visit family in Ohio and Maine. He was an avid bowler and golfer; and enjoyed sailing. After the passing of his beloved wife Henry just wanted to go home to be with Edith.
He is survived by a daughter, Carol Bryant and her husband James of OH; a son, Charles “Chuck” Simon and his friend Jimmy Pedro of Maine; a sister, Helen Taylor and a granddaughter, Julie Bryant of OH, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Philip, John, George, Anne Simon, Mary Sasek, and Amelia Aguiar.
His Burial will be held on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 10:00AMin the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Off Connery Lane, Bourne, MA. Relatives and friends are invited.
