

Hope Anne (Brooksbank) Alfieri, age 72, of Dartmouth passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015 after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Stephen D. Alfieri with whom she recently celebrated 50 blessed years of marriage.
Hope was born and raised in Schenectady, NY, to the late Matthew H. III and Margaret (Smith) Brooksbank, and lived in many locations throughout the US before moving to Dartmouth in 1978. She attended Nursing School, was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church and was a dedicated homemaker.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter, Melissa O’Sullivan and her husband Sean of Maplewood, NJ; 5 grandchildren, Christopher, Zachary, Jake, Holly and Daisy; 3 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lysa Brooksbank of Phoenixville, PA and Susan Ledges of Denver, CO and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Stephen M. Alfieri.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 beginning at 11 am with a service at 12:30 pm in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA. Burial will follow at 2 pm at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
