Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Napoleon and Augustine (Berube) Ouellette, she was a lifelong New Bedford resident. Ida was a graduate of New Bedford High School, class of 1947. She was employed by JC Rhodes Company for 25 years as an administrative assistant, retiring in 1990.
She loved her family and all of her nieces and nephews, she especially loved her home and her beloved cats. Ida has now gone home to be with her beloved Dinky.
She is survived by two sisters, Claire Cabral and her husband Lionel of New Bedford and Anita Daigle of New Bedford; a brother, Ronald Ouellette and his wife Georgia of South Carolina; three godchildren, Carol Mahar, Dennis Caron and Douglas Raymond and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of a brother, Aime Ouellette and three sisters, Murial Caron, Jeanne Brunette and Gertrude Fortier.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 10:00AM in Our Lady of Fatima, 4256 Acushnet Ave., New Bedford, MA followed by a burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
