Isabel D. Phaneuf

Isabel D. “Izzy” (Almeida) Phaneuf, 78, passed away Friday, January 21, 2022 in St. Luke’s Hospital after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Paul A. Phaneuf. Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Joseph and Eunice (Darossa) she was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Phaneuf was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Fairhaven. Izzy was a homemaker. She enjoyed travel, eating out at restaurants, watching Family Feud, word search puzzles, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She is survived by two sons, Mark S. Phaneuf and his wife Gayle of Acushnet, and Matthew D. Phaneuf and his wife Tina of Ashland; four grandchildren, Amelia and her husband Josh Ertter, Tarryn and her husband Nate Long, Cameron, and Evan; and one great granddaughter, Adeline. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 10am in St. Mary’s Church, Main St., Fairhaven. Burial will be private.
