Jacqueline L. Mello

Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Armand and Noella (Langlois) Cormier.

She was a graduate of Fairhaven High School, class of 1960.

Jackie loved caring for her two birds, Zak the parrot and Hawkeye the macaw. She loved animals and fed all of the wildlife in her backyard, they will miss her dearly. Jackie crotched thousands of hats for infants at St. Luke’s Hospital. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Karin Mello of New Bedford, her grandson, Jason Medeiros and his wife Monica of Fall River and her great-grandsons, Jake Austin Beaulieu and Troy Duane-Alan Fortin of New Bedford, and her late daughter's companion, Ed Roy of New Bedford. She was predeceased by her son, Duane Mello, her daughter, June Medeiros and her granddaughter, Brandy Lynn Mello.
