Born in Fairhaven, the daughter of Winifred (Peterson) Goulet and the late Matthew Goulet, Jr., she was a lifelong area resident.
Jennifer was the ideal wife, mother and the very definition of a great bartender. Over the years, she worked at many local establishments, including TK O’Malley’s, the Liberal Club, and the Grid Iron, just to name a few. Through her work, Jennifer became a familiar an welcoming presence to countless members of the community.
In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time in nature, pursuing photography, and being with her beloved dogs. She also enjoyed fishing, worshipping, and drawing. Jennifer will be remembered for the genuine love and concern she showed to everyone she met. Her remarkable gift for conversation made people feel seen and valued, and it is a memory that many in this community will cherish for years to come.
In addition to her mother and Jeff, she is survived by her son, Zachary Silva of Fairhaven; and many, many, many friends — all of whom will deeply miss her tremendous personality.
Her visitation will be Thursday, April 9, 2026 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA 02745. For online tribute: www.rock-funeralhome.com.
