Jill Marie (Simas) LeVie

Jill Marie (Simas) LeVie, 53, of New Bedford, MA, passed away on February 2, 2025. She was born on April 21, 1971, and was a graduate of Bishop Stang High School, where she played basketball. She later coached CYO basketball, sharing her love for the game with young athletes. She went on to attend Bristol Community College.

Jill worked for McLaughlin Research Corporation at NUWC in Newport, RI, and also worked as a pharmacy technician. She enjoyed shopping, keeping up with her hair and nails, and listening to Stevie Nicks. She valued time with family and friends.

Jill was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Carol Simas, and her niece, Grace Elizabeth LaCroix. She is survived by her sister, Cathy LaCroix, and her husband, James; her brother, Steven Simas, and his wife, Meredith; her goddaughter and niece, Heather DeFeo, and her wife, Chelsea; her nephew and niece, Branden and Brittney Simas; and her great-nephew and great-niece, Cole and Reese DeFeo. She is also survived by her close friend, Bill Seguin.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 10:00AM in St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish, 343 Tarkiln Hill Rd., New Bedford, MA 02745 for family and friends to attend. Everyone to go directly to church. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Please no flowers. We ask that you remember Jill in your prayers.
