Joanne Bariteau

Joanne “Jo” (Irwin) Bariteau, age 68, of Dartmouth passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Robert Jean Bariteau, Sr. with whom she shared 45 years of marriage.

Born in Acushnet, the daughter of the late John and Barbara (Sherrington) Irwin, she resided in New Bedford most of her life.

Joanne enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her 4 children, Scott Martin of New Bedford; Robert J. Bariteau, Jr, of New Bedford; Todd Bariteau of Lynchburg, VA; Barbara Grenier of North Dartmouth; 2 sisters, Kathleen Amaral of CA; Eileen Thibeault of New Bedford; 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John Irwin, Jr., and Diane Anderson.

Her funeral arrangements are in the care of the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 4pm to 7pm.
