Born in Flushing, NY, the son of the late Marshall and Janet (Bisson) Herman he lived in Acushnet most of his life and was a graduate of New Bedford High School.
Mr. Herman worked in outside sales for the Westport Winwater Industrial Company for 10 years. He enjoyed golfing, riding his Harley motorcycle and spending time with his girls.
Surviving in addition to his wife: 2 daughters: Jessica Janet and Caitlyn Mae Herman both of New Bedford, granddaughter: Norah Stacey Costa and several aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and cousins. He was the brother of the late Stacey Higgins.
Visiting hours Sunday 2-5 PM in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute “Jimmy Fund”, 10 Brookline Place West, Floor 6, Brookline, MA 02445. Burial private.
