

Born in Acushnet, a son of the late Arthur L. and Annette (Forand) Blais he was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Blais worked for the family business AA Garage in Acushnet for many years before retiring from the Raynham Walmart.
The family wants to thank the late Dr. Kapogiannis and staff for their excellent care and his new PCP Dr. Kelvey.
In addition to Joan, he is survived by his children, Joseph Lemieux and his wife Crystal and Sarah Klatt and her husband Timothy; grandchildren, Jake Lemieux, Joey Lemieux, Richard Babineau and his wife Rachael, and Sean Babineau and his wife Bianca; great grandchildren, Oliver, Asari, and Zadia; siblings, Arthur Blais and his wife Lorraine, Evelyn Barrett and her husband Eddie, Joan Blais, and Daniel Blais and his wife Cindy; and many nieces and nephews. He was the former husband of the late Victoria Blais. He was the brother of the late Ernie Blais and David Blais.
His funeral will be held on Monday, April 8, 2024 at 9 a.m. from the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Parish, 125 Main St., Acushnet. Burial will be in South Dartmouth Cemetery, Elm St., Dartmouth.
