Josephine Lacombe

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Antonio and Nicolina (Mello) Carreiro, she was a life-long resident of the area. Mrs. Lacombe enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, playing cards and reading poetry.

Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Donna Makin of New Bedford and Gail Machado and her husband David also of New Bedford; one son, Roger Pincince and his wife Ann of Minnesota; ten grandchildren, Melissa, Eric, Laurie, Audrey, Jessica, Shawn, Kristine, Pam, Greg and Kim; twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 8 AM from the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, followed by her funeral mass at 9 AM in Saint Mary’s Church, Tarkiln Hill Rd., New Bedford. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Bedford. Visiting hours, Monday 5-8 PM.
