Karen Anne (Oliver) Jeronymo, 61, passed away December 13, 2025 surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, warmth, and quiet strength. Born on August 27, 1964, in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was the beloved daughter of the late William Oliver Jr. and Janina (Hopp) Oliver.
Karen was the loving and devoted wife of Richard Jeronymo, with whom she shared 39 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and partnership. Karen loved doing everything alongside her husband, finding joy in the simplest moments as long as they were together.
A proud graduate of the Diman Regional LPN Program, Class of 1982, Karen dedicated many years of compassionate service as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Hallmark Nursing Home. Her gentle nature and caring heart made her a comfort to those she served, embodying the kindness that defined her life.
Above all else, Karen cherished her family. She treasured time spent with her husband, children and especially her beloved grandson. Her children could always count on her, and she lovingly expected her daily phone calls, a small ritual that meant everything to her. Family affectionately referred to Karen as a “delicate flower,” a reflection of her gentle spirit and tender heart.
Karen found happiness in life’s simple pleasures: getting her nails done, shopping, painting, and knitting. She loved cooking and baking for those she loved and had a special fondness for blueberries – especially chocolate covered ones. A natural jokester, Karen brought smiles and laughter wherever she went, often while enjoying her favorite crime shows and reality TV.
Survivors in addition to her husband, her two daughters Ariel Jeronymo of Fairhaven, Hannah Jeronymo of Acushnet; a son Nick Jeronymo and his companion Kelly of New Bedford; a brother William Oliver of Dartmouth; two sisters Lynne A. Medeiros of Dartmouth and Janice Burke of Portsmouth, RI; grandson Landyn Jeronymo; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her aunt Anne Hopp.
