Kathleen M. Adams

Born in Newark, NJ, a daughter of the late Arthur and Mildred (Anderson) Martin she lived most of her life in Acushnet.

A graduate of Fairhaven High School she went on to have a long career as a waitress for various local restaurants.

In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and going shopping. Nothing gave her greater joy than spending time with family. Kathy was a devoted mother and extremely family oriented. She was an incredibly strong woman. Her family will always remember her warrior spirit and her strong determination.

She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Lizotte and her husband Steve of Fairhaven and Brenda Mattos of New Bedford; her granddaughter, Katie Wolfgang; her great grandchildren, Alyvia Bertoldo and Savannah Lizotte; extended family in South Carolina; three nephews, Wayne Besse of Fairhaven, Walter Besse of FL, and Glenn Besse of AZ; and a niece, Joanne Besse of New Bedford. She was the mother of the late Charles L. Adams, Jr. and sister of the late Maryanne Besse.
