Laureano V. Costa

Born in Fenais da Ajuda, St. Miguel, Açores, the son of the late Laureano N. and Branca (Pacheco) Costa, he lived in Vila Franca do Campo before immigrating to the United States.

Laureano served in the Portuguese Army. He worked at Johnson & Johnson until his retirement in 2005.

Survivors in addition to his wife, are his children, Marina O. Cabral and her husband Mark of Fairhaven; Rui P. Costa of Assonet; Laureano A. Costa and his wife Ana of Acushnet; 6 grandchildren, Eagan, Eliana, Shawn-Michael, Antonio, Damian, Andressa, 1 great-grandchild, Anderson, 1 brother, Fernando Costa and his wife Noemia and 2 sisters, Maria Helena Pacheco and her husband Rui, Isabel Amaral and her husband Vitor, and several nieces and nephews.

His Funeral will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 9 am at the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at St Bernard’s Parish, 32 South Main Street, Assonet. Visiting Hours will be held Monday from 4-7 pm. Burial is private.
