Born in St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of the late Guilherme P. and Gloria (Pacheco) Amaral, she was a longtime resident of Acushnet. She was Vice president of the family business Moniz Concrete Foundations and was formerly employed by Titleist as a winder.
Liberia loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed her home and was very involved in the families concrete business. She was also an active member of Our Lady of the Rosary at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church in New Bedford.
She is survived by her son Daniel P. Moniz and his wife Rosa of Acushnet and her late son, James P. Moniz and late daughter in-law Luisa Moniz; six grandchildren, James Jr., Scott, Christopher, Jordan, Seth and Alison; two great-grandchildren, Emiliana and Nicolas and soon to be great-grandbaby; three siblings; Cristiano Amaral of the Azores, Natalie Amaral and Hector Amaral both of Acushnet.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 9:00am in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by a Mass of Christian at 10:00AM in Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, 136 Earle Street, New Bedford, MA 02746.
