Lorraine L. Gagne Dompierre

A lifelong resident of New Bedford, Mrs. Dompierre was the daughter of the late William and Delrise (Antaya) Gagne.

Lorraine worked as a seamstress at States Nightwear until her retirement. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, yard work and being a homemaker. Her true joy in life was spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors in addition to her husband are her four children; Denise Small and her husband William of Marysville, Washington, Victoria Ryan and her husband Daniel of Tiverton, Rhode Island, Victor Dompierre of Marmora, New Jersey, William Dompierre of Providence, Rhode Island, her sister Pauline Shepley and her husband James of Enfield, Connecticut, two brothers; Dennis and Norman Gagne, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, 1 great - great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 9 am at Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford with a funeral mass following at 10 am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4256 Acushnet Avenue, New Bedford. Visiting hours will be on Monday from 5-8 pm. Burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
