

Born in New Bedford, Mr. Beaulieu lived most of his life in the New Bedford area. He was the son of the late Raphael and Angeline (St. Jean) Beaulieu.
Louis attended Sacred Heart College in Canada. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II where he received the American Theatre Ribbon, European African Middle East Ribbon and the World War II Victory Medal. Mr. Beaulieu worked as a plumber and pipefitter for the school department for the City of New Bedford until his retirement. He was a member of the VFW Poirier Post, Disabled Veterans of America and the 111th Battalion Sea Bees. An avid salt water fisherman he enjoyed fishing with his wife and family.
Surviving are his two sons; Joseph “Hank” Beaulieu and his wife Paulette of Acushnet, John Beaulieu of New Bedford, 4 sisters; Alice, Simone and Theresa Beaulieu, Rita Hebert all of New Bedford , seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several great- great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Ronald Beaulieu. He was the brother of the late Florence Pauline, Gus and Gerard Beaulieu, Doris Farland and Claire Cardoza.
His funeral service will be held Friday, February 3, 2012 at 10am at ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford. Burial at Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
