You will be missed, but there is peace in knowing that your struggles are over, and that you now know the perfection of heaven's embrace. Know that you leave behind a legacy of love-- love of family. Know that no matter what life has in store for the family you leave behind they will always be there for each other. When it matters most, the love you grew in them will carry them through until you meet again.

Mom, My consolation comes from the fact that God finally granted you his grace and mercy and called you home after such a lengthy and courageous battle! You left us surrounded by love! It was a testimony to the love you gave your children and everyone else through the years!I know you have attained the ultimate peace and tranquility, and now forever remain embraced within your loving husbands arms. You will never experience that heartache and loneliness again, and spend your eternity also surrounded by many others you loved who passed away long before you! I am certain you were especially happy to be with your son Freddy and spoiling your old buddies McGyver, Rascal, & Spanky with all the MilkBones they can swallow! I am grateful for the many lessons you taught me. I learned that the word "Freakin" is an awesome filler word and can describe a variety of things such as: freakin tired, freakin cold,freakin stupid, etc. I learned that junk food is indeed an integral part of the food pyramid ( Chex Mix being the main component). And that you especially loved teasing and being teased by yours truly. I could never be in your presence without being referred to as the "Coodeeshk Diab"  (think there is some sort of suggestion  to infer that I am the devil himself)! Lol!! I will especially miss that back and forth bantering we shared whenever we were together!  I am grateful that God created you, not only for the blessing of you, but especially for the gifts of my Karin, Benjamin, and Emma!  I honor and celebrate your life. Yes, it was sometimes very difficult and imperfect but who truly passes through life unscathed? I was deeply humbled by your inner strength, determination, and courage this past weekend as you fought to remain here with us on this earth! I love you and miss you! XOXOXO...  I forever remain your "Stee Von"!

When I think of your Mom, it won't be when her health was failing. It will be the times at your house when all the kids were there and everyone was having a good time. I will never forget the look on her face whenever I called her Mary or Maria, like she wanted to smack me. Also, when she would let a little curse word slip by. She was funny and a little crazy and she will be missed. My love to all of you and stay strong for each other because that's what family is for.  Rick and Kris

Hey Tunta. I am so grateful to have spent 25 years with you. I will miss hearing your voice say "that's my girl" at my accomplishments, and sympathetically listen to my parenting woes. I will tell "your babies" all about your life, and teach them all of the things you taught me. I will allow them to eat junk food and assure them "it is good for them" as you did with me. Mom, I am so grateful to have had you for my mother.  You were an amazingly strong and resilient woman. You persevered so many challenges in your life, starting from a young age and continuing through your life to your last day.  I am so proud to say you are my mother.  I will forever miss our days together. Salvador's Ice Cream will not be the same without you. I will miss having you over for supper and you telling me "you are the best cooker in the whole wide world." That was something we always told you as kids. My response to you was "you taught me all I know."  You are now together again with Dad after 30 years being apart.
