Marie C. Harwood

Marie C. (Primeau) Harwood, age 92, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026. “Connie” was born in New Bedford on June 7, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Orphyre J. Primeau and Suema M. "Emma" (Tetrault) Primeau.

She was a graduate of Holy Family High School, Class of 1951. She spent the last 66 years of her life in Dartmouth, where she lovingly raised her family and built a life centered on those she cherished most.

Connie was the beloved wife of the late Edwin V. Harwood, with whom she shared 46 years of marriage. She was employed by Stop & Shop for 36 years, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic.

A kind and loyal soul, Connie enjoyed playing Bingo back in the day and spending time at the casino. Above all else, her family was her greatest joy and highest priority. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating memories that will be carried forward by those who loved her.

She is survived by her loving son, Paul Harwood and his wife, Wendy, of Dartmouth; her daughter and best friend, Kathleen Brehaut and her husband, Peter, of Dartmouth; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the grandmother of the late Peter Thomas Brehaut.

Connie's presence, love, and the many special moments she shared with family and friends will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
