Marie Alice Pease

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Joseph and Yvonne (Lachance) Lapointe, she was a lifelong resident of the city.

A communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart Church, she worked as a Stitcher for several years before staying home to raise her children. An avid quilter, Alice was a member of the Shining Tides Quilting Guild in Mattapoisett for many years. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering, knitting, bingo, cruises with her late husband Tom and spending time with her family. Marie also enjoyed the friendships she developed at Whalers Place in New Bedford.

She is survived by her three children, Thomas M. Pease and his wife Diane of North Port, FL, Christine Krause and her husband Bill of Acushnet and Cindy P. Agrella and her husband Dennis of New Bedford; seven grandchildren, Jason Pease, Tiffany Carey, Billy and Laura Krause, Ashley, Katie and Kevin Agrella; two great-grandchildren Tommy and Zoey Lawrence and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Maurice, Raymond, and Robert Lapointe.

Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 9AM from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashely Blvd., New Bedford followed by her Funeral Mass at 10AM at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 121 Mt.
